How it Works

Scrooge Wallet is the brainchild of a group of friends from Trinidad & Tobago, Guyana, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and Venezuela, all living and working in T&T. Like many in our communities, we struggled to find a secure, prompt, and accessible alternative to keeping money hidden away — a hole in the mattress. So we created one. We began at the neighborhood level, selecting trusted local shops as our operational hubs. From day one, we implemented policies designed to protect shop owners community funds. Our vision is simple: financial access without exclusion. There are: No contracts, No identification requirements, No age limits, Every individual has the right to participate in this growing movement toward community wealth and financial empowerment.
